Demand For Cable Cars and Supply of Electricity

(Thesis)

Recently, there has been a sharp rise in demand for sightseeing leisure activity using cable cars. Cable cars are vehicular electricity-powered motor engines with cabins where people sit. Most of them are installed downhill from a mountain or across a cliff. The increase in demand for this leisure activity has increased the demand for cable cars. While cable cars may be easily available and affordable, electricity plays an important role in deciding where they are installed. If an area is inaccessible, supply of electricity to power the cable cars will be limited. The reason for choosing this topic is due to the rising popularity of cable cars and the resulting inability of the market to meet the demand. The study shall evaluate how demand for cable cars is affected by supply of power and provide alternative means of meeting customer demand.
