(They have been attached)

Your journal entry will address each of the following questions, you may want to write in your responses in order and use subheadings:

1) What is dysconscious racism?

2) What purpose might it serve?

3) How does dysconscious racism become conscious and why might this process be important to educators and counselors?

4) What thoughts, questions, concerns come to your mind after reading dysconscious racism?

5) How might dysconscious racism impact the work of counselors and educators and those they serve?

6) Bringing this to the persona level, do you feel that you may harbor thoughts, ideas, assumptions, stereotypes, biases, prejudices about those who are different from you that are dysconscious that need to be made conscious in order for you to serve in the best interests of your diverse students/clients? What steps will you take to address these and make them conscious vs dysconscious?
