1) the book must be on a Kentucky topic; 2) the book must be over 200 pages of written text, excluding pictures; 3) the book cannot be a work of fiction–a novel, collection of short stories, or poetry; 4) the book must be written on an adult reading level; and 5) the textbook, A New History of Kentucky or the reader, Kentucky through the Centuries: A Collection of Documents and Essays cannot be used as the review book.
