Find (online) a news article about an organization that discusses a management issue. The date of the online news article must be from within the last 3 months. Is the article/report about a new management approach? Is the organization revamping a current management strategy? Does the article report on a management practice gone bad? It can be about any type of current management issue – as long as it relates to management. Part of the task of this assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of a “what makes this a management issue” (versus a marketing issue, financial issue, etc.). • Provide a synopsis about the management issue. • What makes you sure this is a management issue? (Be specific with your reasoning) • What factors led to the current situation? • Do you predict recovery (if a negative) or success (if a new launch or revamping of a current policy/approach)? • Based on what you’ve learned, is the organization handling this management issue appropriately?
