Create a graphic organizer on the topics of safety, security,

and privacy that relates Washburn University.

First, ask the principal, master teachers, office staff, or others who would have this information. Talk with people in you school or organization and find out information such as the following. (This list of topics and questions is not all inclusive. Feel free to ask other questions along these same topics.)

– find out if there are policies regarding the safety of students when using technology
– what safeguards are in place to protect students
– what are the punishments for students that use technology to harass or hurt other students
– have there been any incidents (no names or other identifiable information)
– what policies are there regarding FERPA and student data
– what protects student data in electronic form
