Team Membership Experience. Write a 5 page paper on a personal experience you have had being a member of a team (a work team, a project team at work, or a charitable event, or a project team at school, or a mission team). Do not use sports teams, hunting teams or sports related teams or committees. Begin the paper by describing the purpose of the paper, the nature and purpose of the team, who the team members were, and how they were selected. Some of the questions that you need to address in the paper include: What were some of the advantages of using a team? What were some of the advantages for you of being a member of the team? What were some of the disadvantages of the team? How was the leader of the team selected? Was he or she effective as a leader? Why or why not? What were some of the norms that the team established? How were they established? What was the size of the team and did the size affect performance? Were all members equally productive? Did you experience social loafing by any team members? How was it dealt with? Did you have team goals? If so what were they? How were they set? Were there individual or group incentives? If so what were they, and were they effective? What was the outcome of the team (did the team meet its goals)? Were you pleased with the team? If so why? If not why not? If you had to form a team, what might you do differently based on your experience? What else did you learn from the team experience? Conclude the paper with a summary of the key points of the paper. Use the principles of Teams from Chapter 10 of the textbook, as well as other outside resources as the basis for your evaluation of your team experience. make the example that I volunteered as a teacher for kids with autism and how we worked as a teem teachers to help the kids
