Imagine you are a psychologist currently working in the field of behavioral modification. Create a case study of a client whose behavior you wish to modify. Based upon this week’s Reading discuss how you would approach behavioral modification with this client, specifically describing the techniques you would use to modify this person’s behavior.
Here is an example of a case study:
Paul is a 10 year old boy who is throwing temper tantrums in school. His teacher says that the tantrums involve crying and aggression towards other children. His behavior is disruptive to classroom activities, as the teacher has to focus her attention on Paul. His parents say that the temper tantrums are also a problem at home. Paul does not like to share with his younger siblings and will often hit or kick his siblings if he does not get his own way.
