Case @1
I was recently pulled over by a Police Officer and I consider myself to be a law abiding citizen. I was completely stopped at a red light when the police officer pulled up next to me. The light turned green, he got in the lane behind me and turned on his lights. We pulled over to the side of the road. He approached my vehicle and asked for license and registration. Of course I complied and asked him what seemed to be the problem. He said I was being cited for talking on my cell phone while driving. My call started and ended while the light was red. I just answered a question from the caller and that was it. My argument is I was not in the motion of driving.I was given the ticket and told to have a nice day. Now I have nothing but respect for the law. Our state law states you can not be pulled over for cell phone use only. Initially you have to be pulled over and cited for another traffic violation and in conjunction you can be cited for cell phone use.
Case # 2
I separated from the military almost 6 months ago. While going through the separation process I had to attend many different classes and briefings about jobs, financial planning and many more things that was supposed to help soldiers once they transition. In some of these classes and briefing they made everything seem like transitioning from the military to the civilian world would be fine as long as you have military experience on your resume. At the time I their word and didn’t do research for myself. I submitted a lot of applications during the classes and left it at that. After 3 months I realized that I couldn’t go based off of what they said and I did more research and job hunting of my own and found a job for myself.
