limits for Congress constitution

1) Members of Congress are serving for longer periods of time than ever before. Is it good to have a member of Congress, either Senator or House member, serve for many terms in office? Or is it better to have members of Congress serve for one or two terms? Should the USA adopt term limits? Are term limits for Congress constitutional?

2) James Madison argued in Federalist #51 and elsewhere that a representative legislature made the most sense: a very limited number of people make the laws of the land. Do you think the lawmaking process should be more open to all Americans, or what is known as direct democracy? In other words, should the masses write the laws? If yes, explain in as much detail why you feel this way. If no, explain in as much detail why you feel this way.
