American women and minorities believed their status after WWII changed greatly. Though their actions were not hornored or recognized, they proved that they were capable of performing the many of the same jobs that white males had done prior to the war. Their war efforts provided them with a sense of pride and self-accomplishment. Though many of the services they performed came to an end or were disbanded after the wars end they were motivated to continue to make changes for future generations. This motivated many to become involved in politics and legislation.
