Politicizing beyonce

The goal of the response papers is to take one of the course readings assigned during the week and apply it to a song by another black female musician/singer. Your responses can be informal, and the artist can
be from any time period – past or present. You can choose the same artist each week or a
different artist/group each week. The goal is to practice the critical analytical skills we use
on Beyoncé’s music to another black female artist.
